O ponto (a, 0) \u00e9 o foco da par\u00e1bola acima.<\/li><li><strong>Diretriz<\/strong>: A linha tra\u00e7ada paralela ao eixo y e passando pelo ponto (-a, 0) \u00e9 a diretriz da par\u00e1bola. A diretriz \u00e9 perpendicular ao eixo da par\u00e1bola.<\/li><li><strong>Dist\u00e2ncia focal:<\/strong> A dist\u00e2ncia de um ponto (x1, y1) na par\u00e1bola, a partir do foco, \u00e9 a dist\u00e2ncia focal. A dist\u00e2ncia focal tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 igual \u00e0 dist\u00e2ncia perpendicular deste ponto \u00e0 diretriz.<\/li><li><strong>Latus Rectum: <\/strong>\u00c9 a corda focal que \u00e9 perpendicular ao eixo da par\u00e1bola e passa pelo foco da par\u00e1bola. O comprimento do latus rectum \u00e9 igual a quatro vezes a dist\u00e2ncia focal.<\/li><li><strong>Excentricidade:<\/strong> (e = 1). \u00c9 a raz\u00e3o entre a dist\u00e2ncia de um ponto ao foco e a dist\u00e2ncia do ponto \u00e0 diretriz.
